Where can this course lead to?

Once this stage is completed, you can continue to the AAT Award in Bookkeeping (Level 1).


Who is it for?

This entry-level qualification helps you support finance teams with everyday business activities, and understand sales and purchases processes.

This qualification is perfect for those taking their first step on the career ladder. As well as covering the basic accounting techniques and principles you’ll gain a broader understanding of the business environment and how to prepare for entering the world of work.


What will I need?

With this qualification, there is no need for any prior knowledge or qualifications. However, we do require students to be confident readers and writers (Level 1) so that they can take the exam.

Learners must be aged 19 or over.


What will I study?

From this course, students will gain an understanding of how different businesses operate across the public and private sector. They will learn how they can effectively contribute in the workplace by working with others, managing their time and behaving professionally.

 

Part-time – 4 days in total. 2 days per week for two weeks (9.30am to 3.30pm).

On campus, you benefit from classes with a specialist tutor. Your tutor will provide materials and lessons, will be on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment, and review your self study learning.

A combination of tutor-led work, group exercises and discussion encourages students to apply theory to real-life workplace situations. D iscussion with classmates will help to reinforce key points while also providing the additional support and motivation that comes from being part of a group.
