Following the completion of this apprenticeship, the apprentice may wish to consider Senior Leadership qualifications or the Operational / Departmental Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship Standard.
Examples of roles as an Accountancy / Taxation Professional include, but are not limited to, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Tax Accountant, Tax Adviser, Tax Specialist, External Auditor, Internal Auditor, Financial Analyst, Management Consultant, Forensic Accountant and Business Advisor.
Accountancy / Taxation Professionals are recognised around the world as respected leaders in accountancy, taxation, finance and business. From providing strategic business advice to audited financial statements or driving mergers and acquisitions, a career as an Accountancy / Taxation Professional can be diverse and challenging; it’s not just about putting numbers into a spreadsheet.
To start studying for this Level 7 apprenticeship, you must have achieved AAT (Level 4) or have a relevant accounting or finance qualification at degree level.
Accountancy / Taxation Professionals use technical knowledge, skills and experience to lead organisations and people to make responsible and sustainable financial decisions. They are required to act in the public interest and must therefore maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and competency; upholding ethical behaviour and integrity at all times.
Accountancy / Taxation Professionals provide financial information and advice to organisations of all types and sizes; from owner managed businesses to multi-national organisations; from private enterprises to public sector institutions, from entrepreneurs to charities.
You will build trusted and sustainable relationships, influence business decisions, clear communicator, demonstrate ethics and integrity, take ownership of leadership , solve problems and inform decision making, adds value to an organisation, continuously improves, demonstrates flexibility and implements professional scepticism.
You will achieve one of the following qualifications, as selected by the Apprentice & Employer:
Delivery is two evenings a week, 6-9pm, with self study weeks and revision weeks built in to maximise your opportunuity to pass your exams.
Exams take place at central venues in early March, June, September and December each year
