What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship offers a combination of a paid job and specialist training. It is designed to develop your skills while providing you with an income. You will get qualifications and experience — two vital ingredients for a successful career.

Why an apprenticeships?

An accountancy apprenticeship is a great alternative to university as a start in a career in accounting or finance. Most accountancy firms are keen to recruit school leavers with good academics under apprenticeship programmes, with many now offering more school leaver vacancies than graduate positions.

What will I gain?

As an accountancy apprentice, you will gain a professional qualification as well as gaining relevant technical work experience and valuable skills training to enhance your business acumen and employability.

How much does it cost?

All apprenticeship training course costs are covered by the government for those aged 16 – 18. For those aged 19+, employers are asked to pay a contribution towards the cost of the training.  There are different rates for each course so please call us for the current contribution amounts.

In addition to the course costs, awarding bodies may charge exam fees and, as you are taking professional qualifications, it is likely that membership fees will be required.
